January Paint Classes: Need Input

I am trying to decide if we should do a class and/or workshop in January.  I have lots of requests, but need to know who would definitely be interested before I can schedule it.

See this link for description of our classes and workshops.

I am considering the weekend of the 18th/19th or possibly the 25th/26th.

What I need to know from you is:

Are you interested in a January Class or Workshop?

If so, which one?

And which dates are ideal?

Please email me and let me know a.s.a.p.

The Beast Finds a Home

Our friend Susan, from All My Musings has a space at the Grand Rapids Antique Market at the Devos place.  She asked if we could ‘do her a favor’ and bring some pieces to fill out her space.  Are you kidding??  Yes!  Thanks Susan.

Anyway, she sold ‘the Beast’ today!  I so loved that piece.  If the purchaser sees this, please email me, I would to ‘meet’ you!!

We also sold lots of smalls.  Susan called us this afternoon and asked us to bring some more things.  So Brian and I cleaned up and went for a short ‘date’ and dropped them off and shopped.  We saw lots of ‘friends’ from the Allegan Antique Market, it was so nice.

Looks like I will need to get busy to restock for the Expos!  I have been working on my statement piece for the Mid-Michigan Expo in Lansing.  It is a beautiful, large vintage china hutch painted Emperor’s Silk (red) with a few techniques to get the depth of color I wanted.  It is going to be an eye-catcher when it is done.  Pictures soon.

Blessings,

Michelle

Top 10 of 2012

2012 has been an awesome year for us.  We have met the most amazing people and have had the most exciting opportunities this past year.

We are incredibly excited for what the Lord has for us in 2013.

Thank you to all of you who have been a huge support and encouragement.

I would also like to recognize the top commenters this past year.  (Please don’t take this as a guilt trip if you don’t comment, I personally don’t comment on blogs anywhere near as much as I would like to due to time.)  But I did want to say a special thank you to the following five woman who have encouraged me the most with comments.

Nancy, Debbie, Marcy, Tami and Laurie.

You all are beautiful woman and I am so thankful for you!

Below is my ‘Top 10 favorites’ of 2012

New Pieces!

Here are a few pieces that we have picked up in the last couple of weeks.  I haven’t had time to list them until now.  I wouldn’t be able to get to them for a few weeks, but if you want either one, just let me know.

This is a gorgeous, heavy, solid wood queen headboard!  This is going to be amazing painted.  I, of course, see it white and shabby, like mine, but just about any color would be beautiful.

If  you remember, this is my headboard, just to give you a visual.

This is a super solid, maple, I think, china cabinet.  I took a photo without the top first because I think it could make an awesome TV stand or a beautiful buffet for a dining room.  With or without the top shelves pictured below.  Measurements are 53.5” wide, 20” deep, and 36 high w/o the shelves and 72” w/the top.

Here it is, top and bottom.  Try to imagine it without the hideous dated hardware.  I can imagine this in so many colors.  One of which would be a cool turquoise, but that would take a brave buyer!  Deep red, mustard yellow or whatever your heart desires.

I have been having fun catching up on projects around our home.  I love creating, but the best is when I do it for our own home.  Here is a peak.  The wall is not done yet, but I love where it is going.  What do you think?  I have had this nine pane window for some time now, finally, I have the photos in it!

I love the black and white and the fun expressions on the children.  I am so blessed!  I just whipped up the sign today.  Love it!

That Time of Year

It’s that time of year when I reflect on the past year.  I am amazed at what a blessed year this was.

I have met the most amazing people this past year.  You have blessed me, challenged me and have been a large part of who I have become this year.  Thank you.

So many wonder about the ‘{re}imagined’ team.  I am blessed to play the ‘front of the house’ of this whole operation, but there are many behind the scenes that make this whole business work.

If you are interested, I thought you might enjoy a peek inside our little world.  You can open the pdf and read our family newsletter.

We all love and appreciate you so much!  May the Lord bless you and keep you this year!  May His blessings chase you down.  And most of all, may you know the depth of His love for you in a greater way this coming year.

Look What We Have Here!

Look what I got a sneak peek at this week.

Expo Card

It felt a bit strange, seeing this.  I wasn’t able to put my finger on the emotions I was feeling at first.  For sure I was humbled, but also affirmed.  I was totally a goober and got teary eyed a couple of times.

This whole experience is such a blessing and has been so challenging too.  I cannot tell you how much I have been stretched throughout this whole process. I am sure the ‘stretching’ will continue as we get closer to the events.  It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord uses the everyday to stretch, grow and expose my heart.  He is doing a work, that is certain.  Pretty cool, though, yes?

You remember this, right?  The Before, stained and dingy.

The After: Beautiful in Green!

IMG_4978IMG_4979IMG_4980

Isn’t it so cool??!!  I absolutely love the pop of color in our bedroom.  This chair has been my faithful quiet time chair for years.  It has seen many tears and heard many prayers.  (as if a chair could hear or see!)  The cost of reupholstering it would be way out of budget.  It is still in great shape, structurally.  So what’s a girl to do.  Why paint it, of course!  What do you think?  Three cups of paint and a little wax, and she is like new!

Have a glorious rest of your weekend.  May His face shine upon you!!

O Come Let Us Adore Him Trees

We have two of the larger (5 ft. tall) O Come Let Us Adore Him rustic trees still left.

IMG_4846

I love these rustic trees.  They look awesome by the front door, on a porch or even in the house.  They are made mostly from approximately 100 year old barn wood.  They are $65.00 each.
